THE STORY SO FAR .......

Norman spent many years in the music business from the late 60's,  starting with blues singer/guitarist Jeremy Spencer and the original Fleetwood Mac line-up. He spent many happy hours going up and down motorways in the back of Black Sabbath’s van, living through a  pre-MTV version of ‘The Osbornes’, with Ozzy being a constant unpredictable presence!  After a spell locating and touring US Bluesmen throughout the UK and Europe, including Champion Jack Dupree, Lightning Slim and Homesick James, Norman opened an agency in Birmingham with his great friend, Black Sabbath guitarist Tony Iommi and Ric Lee, drummer with legendary Woodstock band Ten Years After. They handled - amongst others – heavy metal stars Judas Priest, who the company managed for a while. He was involved with the early days of the Birmingham International Jazz Festival, working with the likes of Buddy Rich and the Count Basie Orchestra,  before opening his studio

Norman has been seen on BBC News, Sky Sports, and he was featured in a week-long series on UK television. He was recently seen on Sky Sports Premier League Preview Show, and the UEFA Champions League show. He is the ‘house’ cartoonist for several large companies and organisations,  and has produced work for KPMG, Courage, Coors, Ebay, Punch Taverns, Danone, Heineken, GMP Air Support Unit, Orange, BP,  Severn Trent, Airbus UK, Cancer Research, Manchester United, Nokia, Blue Cross, Carlsberg, Black & Decker, City of Hamilton, New Zealand, Vodafone, PwC and the Falkland Islands  Government.  He was also responsible for the Marstons Brewery and   Hepworth Minerals calendars for many years, and his ‘Crazy Company Characters’ calendar is an annual favourite. The first celebrity client was the legendary Eddie ‘The Eagle’ Edwards who remains a firm friend, and the late Bob Monkhouse was very supportive in the early days. Since then, subjects have included many celebrities, sporting  personalities and a sprinkling of Royalty, both British and Continental.  In addition, he was official Club Cartoonist for Aston Villa Football Club from 1991, and has also worked for several other professional football clubs. His cartoons have been featured on ITV during the build-up to two FA Cup Finals, and he has had work on display at both Edgbaston Cricket Ground and Twickenham , the home of English Rugby.
